Reuse of wastewater in multifunctional buldings
Skřička, Jakub ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents reader with current knowledge in the field of gray wastewater reuse. The theoretical part describes the current state of water in the world, thus characterizes wastewater and describes its treatment. Further, this section describes the possibility of obtaining thermal energy from wastewater. At the end of the theoretical part, the reader is presented with some existing buildings in the Czech Republic that use the wastewater re-use technology system. In the following practical part, all the knowledge from the theoretical part are applied for a concrete project of construction of a graywater re-use technology system in the area of Vlněna in Brno city.
Proposal for the use of gray water in the swimming area "Kraví hora" with a view to completion of the wellness center
Běloušková, Pavla ; Plotěný, Karel (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
Greywater is the leftover water from baths, showers, hand basins and washing machines only, what implies that it is free of faeces and urine. Greywater can be recycled as processing water (whitewater) for toilet and/or urinal flushing or landscape irrigation. Energy recovery from greywater looks also very promising. The subject of this thesis is short research on the issue of the use of greywater in the first part, the following chapter provides examples of the use of greywater in practice. Practical part of thesis provides suggestion of use of greywater and their heat potential in swimming area Kraví hora with regard to completion of wellness centre. This part also includes economical analysis of suggested recycling.
Possibilities of saving measures in swimming pool operations
Litschmann, Patrik ; Pivoda,, Bohuslav (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the current knowledge in the field of saving measures in swimming pool services. The theoretical part describes the typology of swimming pools and subsequently deals with the technological aspect, including heat management. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes in detail the possibilities of saving measures in public swimming pool operations, especially in sanitary facilities, including reuse of wastewater from showers as a water source, or heat recovery from wastewater. The knowledge from the theoretical section is then applied in the practical part, where saving measures are proposed on the public swimming pool.
THE TECHNIQUE AND TACTICS OF SAFELY RUNNING VARIOUS WATERFALL TYPES ON KAYAK
Klaus, Jan ; Novotný, Petr (advisor) ; Bílý, Milan (referee)
Title: THE TECHNIQUE AND TACTICS OF SAFELY RUNNING VARIOUS WATERFALL TYPES ON KAYAK Purposes: The purpose of this thesis is to introduce the proper technique and tactics of running technical sections of rivers to intermediate and advanced kayakers, focusing especially on waterfalls and other river features with a significant vertical drop. The aim is to familiarize readers with this topic in a complex manner; to present them comprehensive information in order to have a better understanding of running technical sections of rivers on a kayak with an emphasis on safety and prevention of undesirable situations. Methods: This bachelor thesis is based on a literature review, and does not contain experimental suggestions. It is a qualitative research that has been tested and completed by the author and other active kayakers. The conclusions were made without any quantitative experiments or statistical analysis. This work was created by gathering relevant information from other professional and experienced sources and documenting it. Key words: Kayak, technique, tactic, kayak stroke, waterfall, water hole, slide, safety, whitewater, wildwater, boof, plugin, stomp
